If you’ve ever wandered through our Pearce store, you’ve probably seen them — rows of soft, sleepy-eyed friends nestled throughout the store, name tags around their necks, waiting patiently for their next big adventure. They’re the Soft Darlings — our resident preloved plush toy adoption agency — and they’ve been stealing hearts (and cuddles) since day one.

Think: Penelope the Unicorn, whom the store adopted in early 2024.

Now, we’re thrilled to share that these much-loved darlings are heading online — just in time for Christmas gifting. 🎄✨

Because every family deserves a little extra love under the tree.

A Hug With Purpose

Soft Darlings began as one of Micaela’s many heart projects — a way to bring comfort to children who need it most, while giving gently loved plush toys a brand-new story to tell.

Each plushie is donated by local families — sometimes from children who’ve outgrown them, sometimes from those who simply want to share the love. From there, our team gives every Darling a trip to our in-house “day spa” for a proper pamper: a gentle wash, a brush, a little TLC.

Then comes the magic — every Soft Darling is lovingly re-adopted into the world with:

• Their own adoption bio 🧸

• A birthday (because every story needs a beginning!) 🎂

• And their very own sleeping bag and pillow, stitched with care and ready for bedtime snuggles 💤

But the love doesn’t stop there — for every Soft Darling adopted, another is donated to a child living in poverty, bringing comfort where it’s needed most. And even more beautifully, the proceeds from every adoption help fund much-needed medical and clothing supplies for women and children living in poverty in the Philippines. 🌏💕

More Than Toys — Tiny Symbols of Hope

These little ones are more than soft toys — they’re storytellers, comfort-givers, and reminders that small acts of kindness can ripple far beyond our own homes.

Through Micaela’s broader charity work, the Soft Darlings program connects families here in Australia with those doing it tough overseas — ensuring every cuddle counts for something bigger. It’s love in motion, and it’s changing lives one plush toy at a time.

Every Darling comes with a past, a heart, and a second chance — and now, thanks to its online launch, they’ll be able to find forever homes across Australia. 🌈
