How TLCco Buy-Back Appraisals Work
Step One
Check the monthly acceptance list
Each month we accept selected, sizes and seasons based on what our community is shopping for.
Before dropping items in, check our current acceptance list.
Step Two
We Curate & Appraise
Once your pieces are dropped off, our team carefully reviews each item based on brand, condition, style, season and current store demand.
We hand-select pieces that align with the TLCco aesthetic and monthly intake criteria, then send through an appraisal offer via email. Most families choose store credit towards their next in-store finds.
Step Three
Decide what feels right for you
We’ll email through your appraisal offer within 7 days.
Love it? Your TLCco store credit will be added to your account within 48 hours from acceptance and ready to use online or in-store.
Not quite what you hoped for? That’s okay — you’ll have 7 days to collect your items from our Pearce store. Uncollected items may then be donated to our charity partners.
What makes a great appraisal?
We’re known for beautifully curated baby and kidswear — the pieces you keep reaching for.
That means we look for:
- Boutique or quality brands
- Excellent condition
- Freshly washed items
- Modern styles
- Minimal wear
We can’t accept:
- Stains
- Heavy pilling, pull threads or holes
- Stamp name labels that show through
- Broken zips/snaps
- Strong odours
Brands We Stock
We curate quality pieces from brands we trust, sizes from micro-premmie (650g) to 5 years+.
We grade every item, price transparently, and only accept new and gently worn, boutique-quality pieces.
Conscious, cool, and circular.
What Happens to Unsellable Items?
Items that don't meet our resale criteria are given to Canberra Circle of Women for redistribution to families in need in Australia and around the world.
So even if your items don't make it to our shop floor, they'll still make an impact.
FAQ
Do I need to book an appointment?
No booking needed — just walk in during opening hours with your items. We appraise in the order we receive them.
How long does an apprasial take?
Please allow up to 7 days from the date you drop your items in. We'll email your offer once it's ready — we aim to be faster, but this is our guaranteed window.
Can I use my credit online?
Yes — store credit can be used both in-store and on our online shop for circular fashion items. Online orders have a 50% credit cap per cart, and in-store orders have a 75% cap. Read the full credit explainer on our blog.
What happens if my items aren't accepted?
Items that don’t meet our criteria can either be collected by you or donated to Canberra Circle of Women to support families in need — ensuring every piece finds a meaningful home.
Can I bring in sealed nappies or accesories?
Yes — we accept sealed nappies, shoes, bags, hats, and accessories alongside clothing. All items count toward your 50-item limit per visit.
