Our Impact
TLCco is more than a secondhand store; it's a mum-run movement built on care, community, and circular fashion.
We’re trying to create something bigger than fashion - asocial enterprise reshaping children’s clothing, maternal health, and community connection, one tiny outfit at a time.

2000+ Mums Supported
Creating space for connection and mental load relief
Motherhood can be beautiful — but also overwhelming, isolating, and heavy. That’s why we created Mamma Mingle, a series of free, drop-in style gatherings where mothers can come as they are. No pressure, no bookings, no judgement — just a space to breathe, laugh, vent, and connect.
Since 2020, over 2,000 local mums have found their village through Mamma Mingle — forming friendships, building confidence, and sharing the invisible weight of parenting.
As this movement has grown, so has our ability to meet real emotional needs in our community — with new mums' groups, inclusive events, and now a permanent home inside the TLCco store. In 2024, we handed the reins to community leader Samantha, ensuring this support remains peer-led and sustainable for the long haul.

10,000+ Items Rescued
Turning fashion waste into dignity, warmth, and hope
Since launching our circular fashion model, we’ve rescued more than 10,000 items — from gently worn children’s clothing to brand new retail deadstock that would have otherwise ended up in landfill.
These pieces are given a second (or third) life in loving homes or donated, via our partnership with the Canberra Circle of Women, to those who need them most. With over 1,000 kg of clothing rehomed, via this amazing local organisation we’ve helped provide dignity and practical support to:
- Families living in poverty across the Philippines and First Nations communities
- Young women rescued from child exploitation and trafficking
- Children in remote areas, now able to attend school with proper clothing
- Local mums rebuilding after domestic violence or financial hardship
This is fashion that heals, not harms. And every item we accept, rehome, or redirect is a part of that story.

2022
$5,000 Target for 2025
Supporting life-saving research into preterm birth
At TLCco, our work is deeply personal — and nowhere is that clearer than our commitment to preterm birth prevention research.
In honour of Jane's daughter Ava, born prematurely on New Year’s Day 2023, we’re proudly supporting Borne and HMRI — two research organisations working to uncover the causes of premature birth and develop interventions to help more babies survive and thrive.
Preterm birth is the leading cause of neonatal death worldwide, yet remains one of the least understood areas of maternal health. We want to help change that.
In 2025, we’ve committed to raising $5,000 to fund this critical research. A portion of all store profits will be donated, and we actively encourage our customers and brand partners to get involved.
Every dollar is a step toward safer pregnancies and brighter beginnings — because no family should have to face the loss we’ve known.
