Jess took a chance on two girls from Canberra with an idea and a capsule of gently worn clothes. She believed in us, stocked her products in our store, and has been on the ride ever since.

Jess’s journey with PCOS and fertility struggles gave her a deep empathy for the motherhood experience.
In 2025, Jess welcomed her long-awaited son, Darby. Born too soon, he passed later that day. His legacy lives on through every product, every mother reached, and every dollar raised in his memory.
In honour of Darby and solidarity with all families affected by preterm birth, Gilbert & Gretel donates a portion of annual profits to preterm birth prevention research, proudly supporting our shared charity partner, Borne.
